raverX

My name is David, or Dave and this site is itself a mini-project of mine which started around 1995 as a GeoCities website and continues to be a work in progress.

It will probably never be what my mind would like it to be, however the main aim is to put information up about the things I do, work on or think about.. some of which are abnormal.

The name raverX came from Speed Racer, who's brother was named Racer X.

Although I am no longer an active raver, I still enjoy dance music - particularly house, break beat and elektro - and spend some of my spare time fooling around on a set of Technics SL-1200MK2 turntables I purchased in 2005.

I've been using this nickname since about 1995; although many have joked I should probably change it to Xraver since I don't really rave anymore.

Just in case I ever do change my nickname again, I've registered daverX.com, daverX.net, and daverX.org and probably a few others - but I couldn't tell you off the top of my head.

I work in the information technology industry on the Gold Coast as a consultant and am currently the president of the Queensland Supra Club Inc.. (Another of my side projects.)

I have what some would call an over active imagination and at times a short attention span, so I end up getting involved in a number of projects, some of which will never be completed.

I should warn all who read this site to take what is said with a grain of salt. I tend to crap on a lot!
